World Series of Poker 50th Anniversary Schedule Growing

The schedule for the World Series of Poker 50th anniversary in 2019 has slowly been released over the last weeks, with the numbers of tournaments growing.

The dates for the 2019 WSOP are May 28 to July 16 at the Rio in Las Vegas, with the $10,000 Main Event already set to run from July 3-16. The main event will again have their usual three starting flights with the player pool expected to challenge or surpass the 7,874 players that bought in last year.

What new WSOP events are planned?

In celebration of the 50th anniversary, the WSOP is launching a few new events this year that fit the budget of the small stacks and the high rollers. For the small stack, the Big 50 is a new tournament with a cheap $500 buy-in.

It begins on May 30 and runs for seven days. So despite the affordable buy-in, the winner will take home a guaranteed $1 million.
