PokerStars will be at it again this weekend, hosting a quality poker tournament series for players to enjoy. The Spring Championship of Online Poker has become a staple of the online poker room, offering members a chance to compete in major events with tens of millions up for grabs. Players can earn a pretty penny by taking part in the many events that occur during the SCOOP.
The series will kick off this weekend and offer $40 million in guaranteed prize money, not too shabby as it is spread out over 46 events. The series will have 46 events but a total of 138 tournaments on the schedule. The series is known for providing three buy-in levels during each event to allow players of all bank rolls to compete. Each event has a low, mid and high level with varying buy-ins and prize pools.
The series will begin on the 10th of May and continue until the 24th when the two day Main Event will begin. The Main Event will have three buy-ins; $109, $1,050 and $10,300. The high level Main Event will have a guaranteed prize pool of $4 million and the winner of the event will be taking home $1 million in prize money.
A unique feature to the series is the All-in Shootout Deposit Raffle. This option will take place on the 22nd and will allow players who deposit from now until the 21st will earn an entry into the event. During the shootout, there will be 16 seats to the Main Event, High level up for grabs. This means 16 players will have a buy-in of $10,300 paid to compete in the big event. 2,000 free entries will be given away for the Low and Mid levels of the Main Event as well.
On top of the regular SCOOP events, the series will also feature a leaderboard competition. Over $75,000 in tournament tickets to the World Championship of Online Poker will be given away as well as $20,000 in cash prizes. The overall winner of the leaderboard will earn a prize package to the upcoming PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, set to take place in 2016.
Currently, PokerStars is offering up satellites to the many events on schedule with buy-ins starting mere pennies or frequent player points. By winning a seat via a satellite, players are able to take part in the many poker events without breaking the bank, hopefully earning a nice cash prize in the process!
