Bovada Golden Spade Poker Open returns

The ninth addition of the Golden Spade Poker Open kicks off at Bovada Poker this weekend with over $9 million in guaranteed prize pools.

The Golden Spade includes 150 events running from October 16 to November 17. There should be something every poker player and every budget with buy-ins ranging from $5.05 to $1,055, and a variety of tournament types and structures.

How does Bovada Golden Spade Poker Open work?

A few highlights of the Golden Spade schedule include some affordable and some expensive low roller and high roller events.

On the low roller side there’s a Micro Roller event on November 16 with a cheap $7.00 +$0.70 buy-in and a $4,000 guarantee. The day before, on November 15 is the Low Roller event with a $25 + $2.50 buy-in and a $20,000 guarantee. Finishing off our look at Low Rollers is the Super Low Roller on November 17 which has a $10 + $1 buy-in and a $10,000 guarantee.

If you’re a high roller clear Mondays off on your schedule. Throughout the Golden Spade Poker Open every Monday there is a Super High Roller tournament. These tournaments aren’t cheap with a $470 + $30 buy-in, but they have a sizable $100,000 guarantee.

There are two main events on the Golden Spade schedule, and both take place on November 4.

First up is the Mini Main Event. It has a $100 + $9 buy-in and a $150,000 guarantee.

The Golden Spade Poker Open Main Event has a $425 + $25 buy-in and the largest guaranteed prize pool of the series at $400,000. In the Main Event all players will start with 15,000 chips with blinds rising every 15 minutes. If you have the cash you can re-enter into the Main Event up to four times.

If you don’t have $450 to get into the Main Event there are several satellite qualifiers that are a much cheaper option. These qualifiers start at $2.20, or you can buy-in at a high step for $82.
