BetOnline Poker Progressive Knockout Series returns

They’re ready to rumble at BetOnline Poker this month with the start of their King of the Ring Progressive Knockout Series.

The series runs from February 14 to 28 with $1 million in guaranteed tournament money up for grabs. The Progressive Knockout (PKO) events running throughout the series work a little differently than regular tournaments. Check out the details at BOL Poker

In the PKO tournaments half of your buy-in goes toward the prize pool, and the other half goes on your head as a bounty. Whenever you knock a player out you receive half of their bounty and the other half goes onto your own bounty price.

How does BetOnline Poker Progressive Knockout Series work?

Not only does the PKO series feature dozens of daily tournaments, but it also features a King of the Ring Leaderboard. The leaderboards are divided among weight classes with your class determined by your tournament buy-in. Here’s how they work:

Featherweight: Buy-in $0-$4.99
Lightweight: Buy-in $5-$19.99

Middleweight: Buy-in $20-$99.99
Heavyweight: Buy-in $100+

The higher you finish among your leaderboard the better prize you collect.  The points you collect for each tournament is determined by the tournaments buy-in divided by your place in the tournament, which is then multiplied by the number of entries in the tournament divided by 100. To see the prizes available on each weight class leaderboard, visit the BetOnline Poker website.

The PKO series tournament schedule includes at least seven tournaments per day everyday from February 14-28. There are four main events in the series, one for each weight class, on February 28.

The Featherweight main event has a cheap $2.20 buy-in. From the buy-in $1.00 goes to the prize pool, $1.10 goes to the bounty, and $0.10 is the tournament fee. The guaranteed prize pool is $4,000.

The Lightweight main event has a $11.00 buy-in. From the buy-in $5.00 goes to the prize pool, $5.50 goes to the bounty and $0.50 is the tournament fee. The guaranteed prize pool is $15,000.
