Unibet Announces Revamp of Online Poker Client

Unibet is a top operator of online gambling gaming including poker options. The brand has long provided quality options for players to enjoy with cash gaming, tournaments, promotions and more. Version 2 of the poker client is currently being developed with several features being re-worked to provide players with a sleek new look to the lobby as well as a missions system that has been simplified along with a bonus shop, replayer for hands and improved animations at the table.

Online poker sites have to change up the gaming software from time to time to be able to cater to players needs as well as provide new gaming options. It is not uncommon for a brand to relaunch software every few years to stay current with industry trends as well as make changes based on player wants and needs.

With the Unibet changes, the launch could possibly be the largest overhaul of gaming software within the industry that takes place for 2016. The changes will be a testament to what the company has been able to do since launching a new independent platform just over two years ago. Unibet is known for focusing on social gaming as well as recreational game play. Scripts and HUDs are prohibited and the second generation of the online poker software will stay in line with this focus.

Aside from changes to the core infrastructure of the poker client, which of course has been necessary to make changes to the platform, players will first notice that the new version will have an overhauled lobby. The lobby will be fully resizable to provide quality game play for all screen types. Poker will be the main focus of the lobby which was formally taken over by ads for casino game play as well as application promotions. Players will now find a more streamlined lobby that provides a clear call to action for gaming.

As far as Challenges option, the icon has been simplified to include a dial display so that players can see color coded progress bars. This section is located in the lobby and will always be visible so players know their status. A green and yellow bar will represent the progress based on monthly missions while red will be representative of the progress of a cash bonus.

Hand history tools are very important to players who want to track their progress. For Unibet online poker gaming, the hand history replayer has been created to look identical to the gaming tables. Controls have been added to provide control for speed as well as replayer. This marks a big change from the current hand history option which has been for text-only.

The new client is also expected to have smoother animations so that Unibet can offer an overall improved gaming feel. The brand is expected to offer even more tournament formats which will give players more options when it comes to tournament game play. The lobby for Multi table tournaments will be improved with rebuys being supported in trial form.

For players to have new and exciting gaming options, the brand is also expected to expand the monthly challenges system to provide new missions for Banzi as well as Sit and Gos.

All of these changes will be made to the site with Unibet Poker presenting the private beta testing phase by the 3rd of October. This means the site will be making changes to gaming software for a few more weeks, fine tuning their changes, until the first of next month when the testing phase begins. Once the testing phase is concluded, the brand can determine if any more changes need to be made or if the site is ready to go full on with the new software.
