Already at the mid-way point, the World Championship of Online Poker for 2015 has been quite popular. PokerStars has loaded the series with popular events and nice guaranteed prize pools. Players know to expect great quality when taking part in an online event at PokerStars and the World Championship of Online Poker is one of the most popular series in the industry.
For this year’s WCOOP, PokerStars kicked off the series on September 6th and will continue to host events until the 27th. In total, the series will feature $45 million in guaranteed prizes. The Main Event is set for the 27th and will have a prize pool of a whopping $10 million. Before the Main Event, the series will see the Super High Roller taking place on the 20th. This event will have a buy-in of $51,000 and will guaranteed $1 million.
Now to add to the already exciting series, PokerStars is going to open up betting for one of the online poker events. This will be the very first time the online poker site has done so and will give players and opportunity to be rewarded for making the right pick. To take part, players will need to look for the betting market for the event. Log into the software and then visit the Sports tab.
From there, players will need to click on Poker for the sport. Players can currently wager on who they think will finish in the top three as well as who will win the event. There are of course favorites already picked to win or finish well during the Super High Roller event. Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier and Chris Moorman have all received odds to win. Each have odds of 12 to 1 or 13.00 listed. Wagers can be placed on the players and additional players for them to finish in the top three of the event.
PokerStars is ready to have players take part in wagering on this epic online poker event. The PokerStars Managing Director of Sports Betting, Stephen Fisk, stated that PokerStars is excited to offer customers the opportunity to bet on online poker tournaments for the first time and the perfect place to start is with the WCOOP Super High Roller event. The event is the most talked about and the betting will spice up the event. The wagering option lets players be involved when they do not have the cash to participate in the actual tournament.
Players will have until 12:30 pm ET on the 20th of September to place their wagers. Below is a look at the top 20 players based on odds to win the event, minus Mercier, Negreanu and Moorman as mentioned above:

Players can also choose to wager on an additional player, considered the Dark Horse by PokerStars. This would of course be a player participating who may not be as well-known or have the record of wins like the other contenders. To be able to wager on additional players, members will have to contact customer service and find out the odds on other contestants.
