Party Poker Brings Back Powerfest

Online poker tournaments are always popular, especially when offered by top operators. Online poker rooms offer tournament options on a daily basis but the best operators will have successful series of events that come back year after year. Such sites as PokerStars, 888 and Party Poker all offer something special that players look forward to each and every year. For Party Poker, players have just one month before the Powerfest is back in action, a popular event that already took place this year and looks to be even more successful and rewarding the second time around!

Powerfest took place back in May for the first round and offered a staggering 198 events. Varying buy-ins were available to make the series affordable for everyone. Buy-ins for the first Powerfest this year ranged in price from $5.50 to $5,200, which meant players of all bank rolls could compete. With the Powerfest, players have the option to take part in varying weight levels. Featherweight, Middleweight, Heavyweight and High Roller are the participating categories. With each category, you will find varying buy-ins, having the option to enjoy specific gaming formats at a price you can afford.

On the 25th of the month, players who have the funds can compete in the Super High Roller which has a buy-in of $5,200 and offers $1 million in guaranteed prize money.

Beginning on September 4th and running until the 11th, players will be able to take part in the Featherweight and Middleweight categories. With the Heavyweight, players will find buy-ins of $109 to $215 with the main event taking place on the 25th of the month. The main event will have a buy-in of $215 and will offer $500,000 in guaranteed prize money. This category will offer a staggering $4,040,000 in guaranteed prize money.

The main event will have a buy-in of $5,200.

From the 1st to the 4th, players will find Party will be offering Powerfest Mini which will be a smaller version of the regular Powerfest. The mini version will offer 12 events with buy-ins ranging in price from $2.20 or less. This will be a great way for players to be introduced to the Powerfest events without having to spend too much money. On top of the $40,000+ in guaranteed prize money during the mini event, players will also be able to take part in a 4 day leaderboard challenge to try and win tickets to standard Powerfest events.

The tickets offered via the leaderboard challenge will be worth $20,000 so players will have plenty of options to hopefully earn a ticket to one of the Powerfest events!
