The Spring Championship of Online Poker is a top poker tournament series popular with members of PokerStars. The SCOOP offers a variety of poker gaming online with tons of cash up for grabs. Players can log on from around the world to take part in the SCOOP, but for years, players in the United States were unable to participate. Now, with PokerStars operational in the state of New Jersey, residents and visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy SCOOP gaming this May.
PokerStars NJ announced the first ever NJSCOOP will be taking place next month, offering 54 tournaments running from the 15th to the 29th of May. During the 15 days of game play, players will find 27 events will offer a high and low buy-in, making the same events affordable for everyone. At least $1,100,000 in prizes will be up for grabs, making the tournament series enticing for everyone.
The high and low Main Events will be a big draw for players. The high buy-in version will have $200,000 in prize money while the low end will have $30,000 in prize money. Players can buy-in to the Main Event for $50 for the low end while the high end tournament has a buy-in of $500. Each of the Main Event tournaments will take place over two days.
To take part for less cash, players have the option to qualify online for the Main Event as well as other tournaments at the PokerStars New Jersey website. Satellites begin at just $1, making the option to qualify affordable for every player.
Game variants of NJSCOOP events will include 8-Game, Stud, PLO Hi/Lo, Pot Limit Omaha and of course No Limit Hold’em. Players who take part in the NJSCOOP can expect to play alongside Team PokerStars Pros, making game play quite interesting.
On top of the regular schedule of the NJSCOOP, PokerStars will also be offering cash bonuses. Participating players will have the opportunity to enjoy the leaderboard race which will offer points for cashing out in the low and high stakes tournaments. The winner of the leaderboard will be able to earn $2,000 in cash as well as earn a trophy for their efforts. A ticket to a live event will also be provided.
New players to PokerStars in New Jersey can also take advantage of a 100% bonus option worth up to $600. This option is available to first time depositors and will include the bonus cash plus a ticket to the $100k Spin & Go Challenge Freeroll.
The first day of the series, the 15th, will kick off with Event #1, the NL Hold’em Ultra KO tournament. This event will have a buy-in for the low end at $20, while the higher buy-in will be listed at $150. The lower buy-in event will offer $7,500 while the higher end tournament provides $30,000 in prize money.
