Nevada Gaming Commission Comes up HUGE for Online Poker
Online poker continues to come closer and closer to actual availability in the state of Nevada. Players long for the day when they can legally enjoy online poker without repercussions and the state of Nevada is working quickly to launch the option.
That day came closer to reality when, just last week, the Station Casinos brand in the state were approved for clearance. The casino group will now have the ability to create and operate their own online poker options, which will most likely be an attractive addition to an array of US poker sites options the state should have by the end of 2013.
According to the Las Vegas Sun, the Nevada Gaming Commission needed reassurance from the Station Casinos group that they would be careful to never allow underage wagering as well as money laundering. The Station Casinos are going to be operating differently than other casinos by keeping the operations in house, something the NGC is always 100% careful about.
Station Casinos told the Commission that they would have underage gambling detection as well as an option to detect if a bet is actually coming from within the state borders or if it were not. Station Casinos also stated they feel as though they will be able to resolve any issues they come across quickly because they will not be relying on a second party to operate their website.
The CEO of Ultimate Gaming, Tobin Prior, spoke with the commission and stated that the company would be using state of the art technologies and would be reporting any problems they come across with their system to regulators in the state.
