Bellagio Poker Room Going Live on Twitch

The Bellagio poker room in Las Vegas will be the latest to live stream their poker tables on Twitch.

The Bellagio announced earlier this week that they will start to live stream cash games on Twitch later this month. The live series, dubbed Bellagio Poker on the Strip (or BellagioPOTS), will begin airing live on Twitch on Wednesdays at 7pm Las Vegas local time.

BellagioPOTS broadcasts are expected to have a 15-minute time delay to avoid any possible collusion and should also include access to hole cards and commentary. Who exactly will be providing the commentary has not yet been announced.

The first Twitch broadcast is scheduled to air on Wednesday, April 26. According to the recently released BellagioPOTS schedule the first cash game set to air will be a $2-$5-$10 No-Limit Hold’em table with a $500-$2,000 buy-in.

The same table limits will continue to be broadcast the following three weeks on May 3, 10 and 17. The stakes are raised on the final day on the current schedule on May 24, when the scheduled table with be a $10-$20 No-Limit Hold’em with an $800-$5,000 buy-in.

Twitch Programming Will Return in Summer

After May 24 the series will go on hiatus as the World Series of Poker takes over the Bellagio from May 30 to July 17. The Bellagio has said that the Twitch programming will return sometime later in the summer but has not announced a date yet.

The Bellagio is the first Las Vegas strip casino to broadcast live on Twitch, but it isn’t the first casino to bring poker to the booming online platform. California’s Bicycle Club airs a live show on Twitch called Live at the Bike four times a week. Their show features tables ranging from low stakes ($2-$3 blinds) to high stakes ($25-$50 blinds and up). The commentators appearing regularly on Live at the Bike are David Tuchman, Ryan Feldman and Bart Hanson.

Twitch has also become a popular platform for poker players to stream their online play and interact with users, many providing tips and tutorials. Some of the most popular Twitch streams include the Thirst Lounge with Bill Perkins, Flow Poker with Jeff Gross and the Twitch stream run by poker pro Maria Ho.
